Loft vs. Target: Toile Print Dress

The Showdown:

Ann Taylor LOFT
I really wanted this lovely Lela Rose dress from her LOFT Collaboration.
Alas, I could not bring myself to pay the $90+ to purchase it though.

P.S. Don't you just love all of these ladies in the Showtime series Shameless?
It is one of my guilty pleasures
and I can't wait for the new season to start this fall.

So when I went into Target a couple weeks ago and was perusing the clearance rack and found this Converse One Star dress for GASP $7!


I immediately grabbed it and headed to the dressing room.

While it is not an exact copy of the Lela Rose dress it does have a similar feel to it
and for $7 I couldn't say no.

I have since worn it quite a bit and it is so light, breezy, and comfortable so I am glad that I bought it.


So, while I love LOFT, my bank account won out in this showdown.

Target you are the WINNER!

    What a great deal on the dress! You look awesome in it. Target usually wins out for me too. You can find some great things there :) Your flower ring is really cute too!

    i want to go shopping with you sometime, i love how you get everything for such a great deal!

    the two dresses are very similar in looks and the way the fabric lays

    i think teachers get a 20% discount at ann taylor loft with their ids? at least in NC they did... it'll help even more with sale items, check and see!

    GREAT deal with that dress. Sometimes it's not the brand that matters, but how it feels when you put it on. Awesome job finding the similar dress for a fraction of the price :)

    i love it when that happens
    a friend of mine had that happen with a dress from Anthro
    she found an almost exact duplicate at New York and Company for like $12

    Isn't it the best thing ever when something you want can be attainable? This is a great purchase and for $7 you can't go wrong, I always find great things at Target!

    Excellent score on the dress!! I don't like to spend a lot of $ on clothes because that will be the one thing I spill ink or grease or something like that on! I love that you found the similar dress for only $7!!!
