When: Thursday, May 26
Rain, rain go away.
I was able to sneak in between storms to snap these shots at our local railroad museum. It was a perfect location since the caboose was covered and the wagon I set the camera on was covered as well. The wind was blowing ever so softly at first, but picked up as a storm approached and I almost had a Marilyn moment as the breeze began lifting my skirt. The surprised look on my face in the picture above is not just made up for the camera, but the result of me clapping down my had to keep my skirt from giving the camera and the local liquor store patrons a look at things I didn't want to show off.
(The liquor store is next to the railroad museum, in case you want to drink a bit
and then play around on the railroad tracks. LOL)
I found this skirt by chance when I took my mom in to have surgery on Wednesday. I stopped by the hospital gift shop and there it was. I love it because it is actually reversible so I get two looks for the price of one. Also, a wrap skirt is so comfortable and a value as it can be adjusted for gaining or losing weight:)
I wasn't sure how the all of the pieces would look when photographed but I like the bohemian vibe of this look. I was really comfortable all day and I love the color and pattern play.
Enjoy!
XOXO,
Julie

ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on the twirl factor. I love twirly skirts. That is the fun part of being a lady, we still get to wear twirly skirts as adults:) Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.
Sincerely,
Julie
