A Little Russian Influence In NYC

One of the HUGE epiphany moments for me in New York City was that there really isn't a specific "New York City Style". I expected to get there and feel out of place with the clothes that I wear everyday at home. Refreshingly that was not the case. New Yorker's seem to have transcended the style boundaries by just wearing what makes them feel good!

Russian Fur Hats: One thing that I did LOVE, and do not see back here in Michigan, is large fur hats. Now please don't start throwing things at me. I didn't say you have to wear real fur but the style of the hat is what I liked. The image above shows you an example of what I am referring to. I did snap a picture of a lovely large fur hat on a young lady I was walking behind down the street for you to get a better grasp on the concept of how you would wear one of these little lovelies. I really like how she balanced the volume of the hat by pairing it with an aviator styled jacket and military boots.
