My Take
The Inspiration
(I think it is a JCrew Image
but don't quote me on it)
Pants: Gap, Sale
Shoes: Parade of Shoes
Shirt (stripe): H&M
For someone who LOVES clothes and styling outfits this funk of dressing I am in is starting to wear on me. I am not kidding when I say that if I could get away mentally, with wearing yoga pants, t-shirts, and a cardigan as my outfit staples that would be all I would be wearing. Unfortunately I am a stickler for attempting to put together an outfit that is at least not my go to for pajama wear.
The best escape, I have found, is inspired outfits. If I can just copy an outfit and walk out the door than that saves my head from pounding with frustration as the yoga pants call me from their dresser drawer. So here it is my inspired look based on what I think is a picture from the winter 2011 JCrew catalog. I can only say I think since it was snapped with my cell phone as I was cleaning the counter earlier in February.
I loved all the pattern mixing and color. I wish everyday were this easy.
XOXO,
Julie
P.S.
I am trying to come up with a new name
for OAGJ. I am finding it is more difficult
than I thought it would be.
Who knew there were so many bloggers
with the name Julie?
This look is perfectly cute! You are too awesome at layers!
ReplyDeleteI have an inspiration folder (paper and computer versions) for when I get into a funk. I love how you replicated the outfit.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm with you. If I don't put on "real" clothes at least at some point during a day, it doesn't feel right. :)

Your take on it is so much more "real world" and I love how you made the image outfit your own. Your version is very wearable and pulled together!
ReplyDeleteI keep an inspiration folder, as well, and I hate that I started that before Pinterest so I no longer have all the original links and I feel TERRIBLE if I don't know where something came from to give credit.
