Bad habit confession time....

I bite my nails
(Shock, Horror, Disgust)

I could actually win a competition for being the best nail biter in the land.
I am only slightly embarrassed by this fact.
I have had LOTS of practice and I come by it genetically.
All of the blame can be placed on my father and his example.
So there.
Nope I will not take responsibility for my nasty habit and must blame others.

I have tried everything to stop, which would include
painting them with nasty tasting nail polish.
Funny how nasty tasting things sometimes don't stop me
from partaking in a lovely nail snack (Gag, Shock, Horror).
The nail biting gets even worse under stress or boredom or
while watching TV/Movies (go figure).

Solution...
To paint them.

My dear friend needed some distraction so she marbled my
nails. While they are pathetic in length and overall beauty
it is made less nasty by the cool swirly patterns that the polish
created.

Hopefully, it will last long enough for them to grow a bite a bit.

  1. oooh, i think they look nice! length and all. one night as i was reading bedtime stories, i looked over and my daughter had her foot in her mouth, biting her toenails. THAT is not genetically passed down.

  2. i am not gonna lie, that is a kinda gross habit, but many people have it so no worries
love the marbling of the nails and i like super short nails better than longer ones anyway!

  3. Although I don't bite my nails, I keep them very, very short and only occasionally give myself a manicure. No judgment from me.

  4. lol silvergirl's comment!

i have this bad habit of picking the skin around my nails which is SUPER gross. it drives my husband nuts. i've found that painting my nails helps me a little bit..at least until the first polish chip shows up, then it's all downhill because i don't care how they look anymore.

    your nails look beautiful!
