Was spent in a quiet and relaxed company of my family:
My mom, sister, brother-in-Law, nieces, Greg, Otto, and Ava.
The children finally opened their Christmas presents from each other
(My immediate family's Christmas Day ended up being filled with someridiculous drama and it ended up impacting the holiday celebration at my
Mom's party so the little cousins didn't have a chance to exchange gifts.)
and my sister made an amazing breakfast.
I wanted to wear a comfortable, but chic outfit so I chose
to debut my new cobalt sweater dress and leggings.
I paired it with my beautiful necklace from Shelly.
My mom and sister were drooling over it's beauty and all
I could do was beam while wearing it.
Simply gorgeous!
I was honored to be asked to do a guest post for her
fabulous blog back in November and as a surprise thank you
she sent me the amazing Hannah necklace
and sweet thank you note.
In my family the adults don't exchange gifts so I
was delighted to have it show up in
my mailbox near Christmas Eve.
THANK YOU SO MUCH SHELLY!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH SHELLY!!!
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your generosity!
We followed up breakfast with a lovely nap at home for me
and than we all met back up to take the kids to the Toledo Zoo for the
everyone in a celebration for New Year's.
It was so much fun that we may even make it a new family
tradition. We were able to be home by 8:30 pm and put the
our very sleepy kids to bed. Than Greg and I cuddled on the
couch and watched Unknown.
(I have to say that I will not be underestimating the joy of cuddling anymore.
We hardly ever take the time and it was a wonderful way to spend the evening.
One of our New Year's Resolutions is to
reconnect as a couple outside of being parents.
Easier said than done, but we have to make it a priority.)
We were in bed by 11:30 pm
so we missed the dropping of the ball in Times Square but
I don't feel like me missed out on anything. This was the
perfect New Year's Eve for me.
