Oh, the joy that I feel in the smell of books and floor wax!
I know it may sound odd but that is what my classroom smells like at the start of each school year.
I went into school yesterday for book sorting and leveling for classroom libraries.
It wasn't the most exciting task but I was able to stop in and visit my lovely clean classroom.
I didn't realize how ready I am to be back to work until I stepped
through the door was hit by all of the fabulous school smells.
Of course these scents will be short lived and replaced by the scent of preteen.
The room will then smell like an Abercrombie & Fitch store.
You know what I am talking about...
the overwhelming smell that hits you when you
walk past the store in the mall even if you are on the other side of the hallway.
Yep, that is what the hallway and my classroom turn into when school starts.
Although overwhelming, it is better than the body odor smell that occurs
when they forget to wear deodorant when gym starts.
Oh, yes I do LOVE my job and can't wait for school to start no matter what the smells consist of!

Girl you have got some smokin legs in this skirt! This is a perfect summer "Americana" outfit in my opinion. The classic white shirt and the denim skirt and the wedges :)

I totally get what you're talking about with the smell of the school! I stopped by yesterday and I smelled the wax, paint, and books as well! It's such a familiar smell, I feel like I never left. I do agree though--in a couple of weeks, the halls will smell like a combination Hollister, Abercrombie, Axe and bath and body works perfume--lovely...lol.

had to go into the high school last week and it had that great back to school smell going on.
in two weeks when school starts i am sure the smell will be MUCH different. lol

this is a great outfit! i love the thick belt with that perfect denim skirt, and those shoes are gorgeous, you should have taken a close up of them! i plan on doing a scarf post when it's the US fall in a month or so
