BDIB: Remixed Maxi

When: Thursday, July 14

Eclectic prints were the theme today for Fashion Challenge: Trends and
since I seem to be making a habit of double dipping my posts this week I am going to link up tomorrow with Kristina for Bloggers Do It Better.

I have worn this dress many times like here, but I wanted to feature it for
Bloggers Do It Better so I had to remix it by wearing it as a skirt.

I felt like I should be banging a tamborine and jumping around with a scarf wrapped around my head.
It simply screamed to me GYPSY WOMAN!
I decided to down play my exuberance and just take a few pictures of me posing instead.
I don't really have much of a waist so I love to add belts to my looks to define my waist.
Using a belt also helps to balance my wide shoulders for more of a feminine silhouette.
Since my shoulders are wider than my hips it is important for me to have a defined waist to avoid looking like a boy.
It has taken me a long time to fully appreciate my strong shoulders but now they are one of my favorite features.

My dear friend Staci of Constanly Unfolding is super talented lady who loves to craft.
Her newest obsession is wire crocheting.
I was so surprised and excited when she called to tell me that she had created a lovely necklace, bracelet, and ring just for me!
I was even more excited when I went over to hang out with her and craft and was presented with these mini masterpieces.
I have decided, since my 30 for 30 has kind of fizzelled, to remix this lovely set with as many different outfits as possible.
What I love best, besides the beautiful sea glass color pallet, is how light it is.
I don't usually like to wear a lot of jewerly in the summer because it is so hot out but this is like wearing nothing at all.

Enjoy!

XOXO,

Julie
