A Balancing Act

When: Sunday, May 22

Sunday was church and than a lot of sitting outside soaking up the sun. I am finding that since it has been such a horribly raining and cold Spring that I have a new appreciation for beautiful weather. I love being outside and Otto and Ava are finally to an age where I can sit and relax while they run around and play. It is such a wonderful thing to not have to be worried about them all the time when we are outside anymore.

I love billowy shirts and have been attracted to purchasing more of them. The only issue I have is that I don't want to look billowy when I am wearing one. The solution, for me, is balancing the full shirt with a short skirt or tighter fitting leggings. Since the shirt already provided the outfit with a lot interesting pattern and color I kept to a nude heel. Actually, these are a light gold color but it is subtle enough to get away with it being nude.

Enjoy!

XOXO,

Julie

  1. thanks for the comment, it made me feel better :) now I'm going to say to you what two different people said to me yesterday...

"I feel that every time I see you your hair is a different color"

your hair looks darker in this post than in the previous two (I'm playing catch up right now!) and holy crap, I love it! short dark hair is my THING... it is so clean and sexy and powerful... I mean that second picture? GORGEOUSLY fierce!

also, how am I just now noticing you have children named Ava and Otto?! the weird thing about this is my best friend in the world wants to name her kids exactly those two names, she wants a little boy named Otto and a girl named Ava... I'm not making this up! isn't that the weirdest thing ever?! she has this thing about loving palindromes... her emails to me usually have something like "race car" or "a man a plan a canal panama" in the subject line.

    Seriously just blew my mind!
